Why do you like ON1 Photo RAW?
I like the simplicity of ON1 Photo RAW. It’s so easy for someone new to photo editing to succeed, even without knowing all the technical aspects. Its tools are aimed at professionals, but it also has many automated features that are ideal for less experienced photographers.
What is your favorite feature?
My favorite feature is the Effects tab. With over 30 effects, I love how you can easily adjust your photos with just a few clicks.
Best advice for new ON1 photographers?
Start with the basic, easy-to-understand sliders, and once you’re comfortable with them, move on to learning some of the more advanced tools. Don’t feel like you have to overdo it**: often** the best photos are those that require minimal editing.
What’s always in your camera bag?
I never leave the house without my telephoto lens. Most people think that landscape photography requires wide angle lenses, but I find so many images with my telephoto lens when the light is below average for wide angle shots. I always carry my 70-300mm long, and sometimes even my 150-600mm.
What inspires your photographic style?
My goal is to keep my photographs realistic, so they are definitely inspired by the natural world. I’m lucky enough to visit some of the most picturesque landscapes in the West, so they certainly inspire my style.
The best place to follow me?
On my YouTube channel, you’ll find weekly videos covering product reviews, editing tutorials, and field videos that will help you learn how to take better images, no matter your skill level.
